Dr. Harold Hayes has been an Oklahoma educator for the past 37 years as a teacher and coach and school administrator. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member with the University of Central Oklahoma.

Dr. Hayes is a native of Stroud, Oklahoma. His residential home is Norman, Oklahoma. He has two sons, one attending the University of Oklahoma and the other attending Oklahoma City Community College.

Dr. Hayes received his undergraduate degree in education from the University of Tulsa in Elementary and Secondary Education. He also played baseball during his time at TU. Following one season in professional baseball, Dr. Hayes returned to Oklahoma to start his teaching career.

Dr. Hayes holds a masters degree from Oklahoma State University in Educational Administration with a minor in Educational Counseling. Dr. Hayes also holds adoctorate degree from OSU in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision. He holds an additional graduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in Health and Sport Science.

Dr. Hayes became Superintendent of Eldorado Public Schools in July of 2009.

Qualified secondary students have the opportunity take course work at Southwest Technology Center in conjunction with on campus core courses offered at Eldorado High School.

Select secondary students who qualify may also apply for concurrent enrollment status during their junior and or senior year’s allowing them to take courses at Western Oklahoma State College. This enables qualified students to receive high school graduation credit while also receiving college credits towards their associate degree.

Eldorado Public Schools is accreditated through the Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. The district is also a member of the Oklahoma State School Boards Association, the Organization of Rural Oklahoma Schools and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
